Djibouti: Q3 2026 report

MENACodex’s Q3 2026 findings recorded rising consumer prices in Djibouti over March–June 2026. The latest price finding reported three straight months of increases, from 103 in March to 107 in June, a rise of 3.9%.

Longer-running increases continued in the annual activity measures. Gross domestic income at constant prices rose for 10 straight years, from 417.9 billion in local currency in 2015 to 766.9 billion in 2025, up 84%; the rise dated back to 2013. Earlier, subsequently replaced finding versions recorded increases over 11 consecutive years in constant-price gross value added, from 387.21 billion in 2015 to 664.36 billion in 2025, up 71.6%, and constant-price GDP, from 417.94 billion to 706.00 billion, up 68.9%. Both findings extended rises underway since 2013.

Investment, measured as gross capital formation’s share of GDP, rose for four straight years, from -15.7% in 2021 to 1.55% in 2025; the finding reported a 17-point increase. The bad-loan ratio fell for six straight years, from 17.6% in 2018 to 3.07% in 2024; the finding reported a 15-point decline.

Taken together, the quarter’s publications documented sustained increases in prices, annual activity measures and the investment share, alongside a declining bad-loan ratio. The latest observations ended in 2024 for bad loans, in 2025 for the annual activity and investment measures, and in June 2026 for prices. They therefore described developments preceding Q3 2026 rather than movements within that quarter.

The findings were statistically detected from multilateral-source data, with the IMF named in the supplied findings, and were checked before publication. This brief covered MENACodex findings published during Q3 2026.
