Sources
Every figure on this site comes from one of the sources below, and every finding, brief and report traces back to the release it was computed from. We hold a copy of each release so that the trail from a sentence to its source is preserved. Findings, trends and comparisons are MENACodex’s own calculations from the published figures and are not statements of the source.

Read in the background only
UN Comtrade (trade by partner and product) is read nightly and used only to compute findings. Its figures are not shown, charted or downloadable: UN Comtrade’s terms allow this use but require a subscription for the figures themselves to be republished.
IMF monthly statistics were shown until October 2026 and are now archived from readers’ view pending the IMF’s written permission for the platform’s intended use. The same series are published from the World Bank, FAO, ILO and BIS instead.
Downloads
Series from sources whose licence permits redistribution (World Bank, FAO, ILO, UNHCR, BIS) can be downloaded from the Database page as a file carrying the source’s credit line. Series from other sources cannot.
