Major events are a curated, sourced line maintained by MENACodex; where an event has no official end, its span is the period chosen for reading the chart — a ceasefire, the end of a protest wave, the end of lockdowns — not a definitive duration. Decisions come from the institutions' own records — central-bank rate series, IMF lending arrangements, World Bank operations, and the weightier government announcements found by the policy scout (laws, budgets, taxes, tariffs, subsidies, debt, currency) — and are added as they are recorded. A verified register of earlier major decisions is being built.
